Die DVD ist in einer limitierten Auflage erschienen, die Qualität ist sehr gut, gefilmt wurde mit 2 Kameras im 16:9 Bildformat - Pal, der Ton wurde mit einem DAT-Gerät aufgenommen.

Ich hab mich wieder auf die Suche nach professionellen Refills und Samples für Reason und zahlreiche weitere Geräte, Sampler und Softwareprodukte gemacht, unter anderem auch WAV-Samples, Loops, Multiformat-Samples, Rex-Files, Virtuelle Instrumente, Logic EXS24, Halion, Akai S1000 und Akai Z/S5000, Roland S700-Samples und vieles mehr. Das passt doch gut in unser Konzept oder? Norman Cook, auch bekannt als Fatboy Slim bietet mit dieser Cd eine Fülle an Breaks, Beats und Samples, dieses Refill-Paket ist sehr bekannt und lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Format Info - GENERAL: REX files are amazing! They are files created by Propellerhead’s ReCycle that scan lice up any suitable rhythmic sample and produce a file that includes the sample data and sequence information. These files can be loaded by many of today’s most popular software (Reason, Logic, EXS24, Cubase, Digital Performer, and many more!) and will automatically play at any tempo you choose. The software will also give you loads of additional options that allow you to control much more too - use the groove with other sounds, knock out a specific element or take out hits to use in your own loops, and much more! REX2 files are stereo and REX(1) files mono. MOST software supports both formats. You can even import REX files into ReCycle and export them to the huge number of samplers that supports. REXing files is a very skilled job. Some files are easy but a well-REXed library can take a huge amount of work to create. AMG released the World’s first REX and REX2 CDs and have been pioneers of the format. If you’ve never used REX files check them out, once you’ve used them you’ll never go back!

Bericht zur letzten Mass-Hysteria HipHop-Part 2-Jam

Folgende HipHop-Gruppen sind aufgetreten:

Freitag der 23.02.2007:

Aus Berlin holt DjHighfly die Jungs von “Dead Residents” vom Flughafen Schönefeld ab, in der Zwischenzeit heizen Zoul3 und Madita die Gartenlaube, damit es schön warm ist. Gegen 22 Uhr treffen wir dann im Garten ein und die Jungs packen Ihre Sachen aus, mit dabei - reichlich Platten, wovon erstmal grosszügig welche verteilt werden.

Wir schauen uns die Mass-Hysteria Part1-DVD an und unterhalten uns über Musik und endecken viele Gemeinsamkeiten in Sachen HipHop.

Samstag, der 24.02.2007:

Gegen 13 Uhr treffen wir uns und fahren mit Nari, Wudde, McRelief, Madita, Zoul3, Brutus und den Dead Residents gemeinsam mit 3 Autos nach Hamburg.

In Hamburg angekommen, holen wir DjPsychopath, Mc Hideouz (+Freundin) ab und fahren direkt zum Fundbuero. Dort angekommen fängt auch schon der Soundcheck an. So langsam füllt sich das Fundbuero, wenn auch nur zaghaft.. Am Ende sind vielleicht 100 Leute anwesend.

Class-Action hat seinen zweiten Auftritt und meistert seine Tracks ganz ordentlich, die Kritik im Nachhinein war durchweg positiv. Mental Disorda wie eh und jeh lautstark und routiniert, DjHighfly am Turntable. Hideouz Newcome hatte sich gut vorbereitet, Mc-Hideouz ebenfalls sehr souverän.
Dead Residents überrascht an dem Abend mit Ihrem Auftritt, eine Mischung aus Hardcore-HipHop, Funk und super Dj-Parts, auch die Live-Einspielungen über ein Sampler waren sehr gelungen! Die Gruppen Project Mayham und Eastborn waren sehr gelungen und professionell, wenn auch nicht von der schnellen Sorte.

Auch wenn die HipHop-Jam kein finanzieller Erfolg war (zur Finanzierung weiterer Jams wichtig), haben wir uns gefreut wieder alte Bekannte zu treffen und neue Leute kennenzulernen, die Stimmung war so wie sie sein muss, kein Stress, und eine enorme Energie innerhalb der Gemeinschaft.
